FUE Hair Transplant

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a modern hair transplant technique that involves the extraction of individual hair follicles from the donor area (usually the back or sides of the scalp) and then transplanting them into the recipient area (areas with thinning or no hair).

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted from a donor area (typically the back or sides of the head) and transplanted to areas with thinning or no hair. It is minimally invasive and leaves minimal scarring.

Unlike FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), which removes a strip of scalp, FUE involves extracting individual hair follicles. This results in smaller, dot-like scars, a faster recovery time, and no need for a large incision.

FUE is generally not painful because the scalp is numbed with local anesthesia. Some mild discomfort may occur after the procedure, but most patients find recovery to be manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers.

Most people can return to normal activities within 3 to 7 days after FUE surgery. Swelling and redness may occur but typically subside within a few days. Full recovery and new hair growth can take several months.

FUE provides permanent results. The transplanted hair follicles are genetically resistant to hair loss, so they will continue to grow naturally over time. However, surrounding non-transplanted hair may continue to thin, so ongoing maintenance treatments could be necessary.
